Leave No One Behind Report 2024: Uganda’s Commitment to Inclusive Development.
Uganda has made significant strides in its commitment to inclusive development, highlighted by the recent publication of the “Leave No One Behind” (LNOB) report for 2024. This comprehensive assessment, produced through the collaborative efforts of the SDG Secretariat at the Office of the Prime Minister and UN Women in Uganda, provides a critical analysis of the inclusivity of development and humanitarian initiatives within the country.
National Transformation and Acceleration for SDGs
This report shares the agreed upon commitments by all stakeholders in policy development and implementation of SDGs. They were developed through a consultative process of all key players and with the review of the current policy development frameworks.
NIRA AND NCPD RECRUITMENT FOR 2024 MASS ENROLMENT AND RENEWAL EXERCISE
The National Council for Persons with Disabilities has secured 12.4% of advertised jobs for skilled persons with disabilities in NIRA’s recruitment exercise for mass enrolment.
NIRA is embarking on recruitment for over 10,000 jobs as it prepares for the mass enrolment and issuance of National Identity Cards (IDs) and National Identifi cation Numbers (NIN) to over 10 million Ugandans. To meet its transparency and inclusion principles, 12.4% of the advertised jobs have been secured for skilled persons with disabilities.
