    Guidelines On Access to the Additional Grant For Persons With Disabilities Under The Parish Development Model

    In the FY 2025/26, the Government provided UGX 4,654,147,000 as an additional grant to Persons with Disability (PWDs) that receive a Parish Development Model (PDM) loan. Each PWD beneficiary is scheduled to receive a grant of UGX 500,000 on top of the UGX 1 million loan from their respective PDM SACCO to cater for their unique needs and enhance the participation of PWDs in the PDM strategy.

    Over 400 Professionals Convene for Landmark "Talent Without Limit" Career Fair in Kampala

    The grounds of the Uganda School for the Deaf came alive as more than 400 job seekers and 28 employers gathered for the inaugural Talent Without Limit Career Fair, an initiative aimed at advancing inclusive employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.

    Organized by BrighterMonday Uganda in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, the event was held under the Gen-Kazi Programme in collaboration with Light for the World, NUDIPU and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities.

    MBALE – In a significant move to bridge the digital divide for learners with disabilities, the National Council for Disability (NCD) has officially handed over a comprehensive suite of assistive technologies and ICT equipment to Mbale School for the Deaf. The donation, facilitated by the Uganda Communications Commission , through the council under the Uganda Communication Universal Service and Access Fund (UCUSAF) program, aims to transform the school into a premier regional hub for inclusive learning.
